I can’t believe it has already been 60 days since we’ve been apart. Time has moved both too fast and too slow. To give an update, Thinley has been keeping busy with work, and if I may expose him a little, he has been indulging in way too many ice creams under the excuse of “tasting” them. He recently received his first salary of KD 135, and the first thing he did was send KD 50 to his sister in Bhutan. That made me so proud. Watching him grow, take responsibility, and achieve things on his own feels like watching someone you love transform right before your eyes. Lately, I’ve been teasing him about his time in Losel School, how he used to get scolded and even beaten for not knowing the answers to questions. I met one of his old teachers, and he told me that whenever he asked Thinley something, his response would always be "I don’t know." That, of course, led to him getting punished.
